Incorporating Reviews into Social Media Marketing Strategy

DIY Sprocket Solutions

Your company may have some great testimonials and feedback. These are perfect (and free!) advertisements for your business. The question is –how do you effectively incorporate those reviews into a social media strategy that will help you to grow your customer base? In every part of marketing, audience is imperative to your success. You have to define your target audience before you can put together any sort of social strategy –reviews and testimonials included.

Once you know your target audience, you can find out more about them. What you eventually determine about your target audience should guide most of your marketing and social media activities if you want to be successful. When you get familiar with your audience, you get familiar with what they want and what they don’t want. What are their needs? What are they lacking? What is the problem that they are trying to solve or the goal that they are trying to achieve? Your goal is to gain close familiarity with your audience’s pain points.

Why the pain points? This is what they are unhappy about or looking to improve. This is where your business comes in to solve a need or remedy a problem. When you know what they are trying to gain, you can properly curate your reviews to show them how well you can fill that need. Here’s what you can offer them that your competition can’t. Here’s how you can help that problem.

When it comes to social media, you have the opportunity to share reviews and testimonials that exemplify your ability to fill those needs or solve those problems. People like to be able to relate. It’s a sort of, “Hey, I struggle with that too” moment. Even if your product isn’t filling a specific problem or need, selling t-shirts for instance, you can still approach it with the same angle. Your target audience is still lacking whatever it is you are offering. Ask yourself who your target audience is and find out what they need. Use reviews that dive into that need and how you filled it.How have you incorporated reviews into your social media marketing strategy? Do you use pain points? How important is a target audience?
