Outsourcing Social Media Marketing for the Holidays or Busy Season

DIY Sprocket Solutions

Much in the same way that businesses hire on additional help for the busy holiday season, outsourcing work like social media marketing can be a smart way to stay ahead of the game. When is your busiest season or time(s) of year? Are you spread in a million directions at once? Most small business owners have great ideas, great intentions, and great plans. The problem is having enough hours in a day to successfully execute all of those ideas, intentions, and plans.

How many years in a row now have you planned to really amp up promotion around holiday deals, specials, events, or sales? How many years in a row have you fallen short? It takes a lot of work to run a business. The importance of delegating tasks and hiring on extra hands when needed is vital to making sure that your business thrives.

Online marketing is a great opportunity to invite in some outside help to make your business even more successful. Think of it this way, this is not just a job you are outsourcing to take some of the stress off of yourself. This is a job you are outsourcing to take some of the stress off of yourself AND one that you are outsourcing to a professional that can truly help your business thrive and grow. Social media marketing, content marketing, email marketing and more are all avenues of online marketing that have the opportunity to really rake in some great new business.

Whether it be the holiday season or just your industry’s busy season, wouldn’t it be nice to really focus on the day to day tasks of your business while letting someone else make sure that it’s being managed and grown? We’ve all been burnt out through work in one way or another. It’s hard to be creative and innovative with marketing techniques when you’re being weighed down with all of the other moving parts of running a business.

This is a great opportunity to bring someone in who specializes in the online storefront. Have someone manage your social media accounts. Have someone manage your online brand image. Have someone respond to reviews and answer questions. Have someone organize sales, deals, giveaways, and email marketing campaigns. You can decide what tasks you want delegated and then let someone else handle the leg work. You still have the final say in what is happening with your business, but you are giving yourself a much higher chance for success.

What do you think of outsourcing online marketing tasks for the holiday season or surrounding your busy season? What tasks do you think should be outsourced? How can an outside person help? Comment below!

I believe that a social media consultant must be attuned to the company goals and aspirations if he or she is to represent them on their social media channels. I also think that outsourcing social media marketing is a good idea for a company looking to specialize in their core business. In any case, most businesses outsource marketing and advertising and I don’t see why social media marketing should be any different. You just need to be actively involved to ensure that you are represented in the way that you want
