Many business owners, both large and small, have more than one location that they are managing. Having a social media presence is essential and having a social media presence on a local level for each location has become essential as well. So, what is the best approach? A separate business page for each location? That’s one approach. However now, with Facebook Locations, business owners are provided a way to provide a local presence for each location while managing from one central page.

In any given business, there are common keyword phrases. Local bakeries pop up for “cakes” or “cookies”. Real estate agents will pop up for “real estate agent” or “home selling”. As a small business owner, it’s essential to brainstorm the search terms that will lead people to you. But when there is a lack of search results on a specific topic, can you jump in?

Email marketing campaigns constantly run the risk of being redirected straight to the spam folder. Just as often, recipients will follow the steps to unsubscribe to messages that they don’t see value in and that they view as junk. The truth is –no one wants to be sold to. In addition, people want to be treated as an individual. Email marketing runs in dangerous territory as the majority of campaigns are selling hard and marketing to the masses instead of tailoring an experience to the individual.

That each of these marketing platforms have a different expiration date for content.

I saw a post on Twitter recently with some great statistics. This post was generated from a talk given by Andy Lambert from the platform Content Cal at the UK’s three day social media marketing festival: Social Day UK 2018. What were the stats? 200 million people now use ad blockers. Content marketers experience 7.8 times more site traffic. And, while content marketing costs 62% less than outbound marketing, it generates more than three times as many leads. Content marketing is so incredibly important.
