3 Must Have Content Creation Tools

DIY Sprocket Solutions

Creating unique and relevant content on a regular basis can be a tall order. When your goal is to be a subject matter expert, and readers are blazing through similar types of articles to find the best, you have to present content that stands out from the rest. We’ve found a few tools that help create content that stands out to readers while providing valuable insight along the way.

ContentGems

ContentGems is a site that gathers certain types of news and puts it all together in a daily email. This is a great way to receive a new influx of fresh content ideas every day. You are able to choose the type topics you want to read about and every day a list of articles hits your inbox. This is an inspirational way to sort through all the news of a specific topic in one place and then use that combined news to come up with new article topics.

Headline Analyzer

Headline Analyzer is a tool created by CoShecdule that literally analyzes the headline of your article. A headline is a make or break component of any article. If you want any readers at all, they have to want to engage past the headline –so it’s got to be a good one. Interesting headlines are necessary to attract readers and encourage them engage. This tool takes the words in your title and says what type of words that the title contains. For instance, common, uncommon, emotional, and powerful are all types of words. It will analyze and give you the headline type and tell you whether it’s interesting enough of not. This tool will also analyze length of the title, keywords associated with the article and the sentiment caused by the article. A good headline is the best asset you can give yourself. A bad headline is your biggest downfall.

Hemingway Editor

The Hemingway Editor is modeled after Hemingway’s known style of short and simple sentences. This platform allows you to copy and paste your text into it and then watch the editor come alive. The tool points out all different types of speech and gives suggestions on how to edit your article to read with a more Hemingway type style. Online readers are a different breed. They are trying to understand and absorb as much information as they can as quickly as possible. This tool spots different types of sentence structures, voice, verb types and more so that you can edit your articles to be as concise and clear as possible.

These are just a few of the amazing content creation tools that are out there currently. Which are your favorites? How are you using them? What are your thoughts? Comment below!

Sprocket Report

Every other Tuesday, Sprocket sends out the Sprocket Report, our latest business tip or our reaction to what's currently happening in Internet Marketing.

You'll read a web marketing tip from Kate, another one from Breanne, and - bonus! - we always have a guest post as well.

That's three valuable posts that you can read, plus a quick look at upcoming events and what's being said on Twitter. A great synopsis!

You'll want to get this newsletter for yourself, in your own inbox, so here's how. It's easy!

Scroll back up and put your email in the box. OR scroll to the bottom of each page. We have our newsletter subscription box there, too!

We NEVER give out your email address to anybody else, and we don't flood you with ads. It's just good, free information.
