Back from an informative DotNetNuke World 2012, TechMan is inspired. 

"We're the hit of the conference! Everybody was talking about showing websites on small screens. Miniature is in, man!"

"Right you are, old chum, The world needs small websites." Sprocketeer returned. "And we're just the size, er, guys to do it. Let's get busy! We're going to need to develop a shrink ray..." 

TechMan stops our Gallant Gearhead. "Wait a minute. I think we can build them without a shrink ray. Here's how." 

TechMan opens a browser and visits the DNNWorld site. "Remember, we attended several sessions on Responsive Design for Mobile sites. We learned we can build responsive skins ourselves or buy some ready-made at the DotNetNuke store. DNN is mobile-ready and can detect when a mobile device is being used to request a page."

Inspired by TechMan's review, Sprocketeer springs into action. "Fantastic. Then all we need is a website to shrink. I know! How about our favorite site. SprocketWebsites.com! Let's take a look at it on both a big screen and a small one."

While TechMan surfs to the home page of SprocketWebsites.com, our Masked Defender uses his Herculean strength to stand an iPhone atop the surface of a laptop computer  "I've displayed the site on this mobile device so we can compare them. Wow! It's perfect! It's like reading a newspaper. Just my size."

TechMan points out the obvious: "For Mighty Miniature Marvels of Content Management, the mobile display is just fine, but for average full-sized people, the thumbnail view of the website that you're seeing is far too hard to read. A good responsive design rearranges the information so there's only 1 column and the text and buttons are a reasonable size. This site needs an overhaul."

Just the motivation Sprocketeer needed. "Then let's go! I'll fire up the Sprocket Rocket. To the DotNetNuke Store. Dadalah Dadalah Daaaaah!"

"We don't have to go anywhere. The store is online" says TechMan.  "And for the last time, that's not your theme music, it's Batman's."
