Sharing Talent for a "Wonderful Life"

Don, one of Sprocket Website's managing directors, will be performing as part of Those Thrilling Days of Yesteryear, a radio theater troupe, on Sunday, December 18 in Oak Park, Illinois.

Those Thrilling Days of Yesteryear will be presenting a recreation of the 1947 radio broadcast that saw Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed reprising their movie roles. This free performance is open to the public and gives people an idea of what it was like to be in the studio audience during the original show.

TTDY has been performing in Oak Park for ten years with Don joining the troupe in 2006. For more information see TTDYradio.com or OakParkArms.com.

December Networking Opportunity

Don and Kate will be attending the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce After Hours event on Tuesday, December 13. This month's After Hours will be held at Colonial Cafe on Gartner and will be the last one of 2011. Even with holiday bustle, this should be a great networking opportunity, a chance to meet newer members and the perfect time to exchange holiday greetings with long-time friends. Hope to see many in attendance!

Don to Perform with Local Radio Theater Group

Don will be performing with Those Thrilling Days of Yesteryear in a live presentation of "It's a Wonderful Life" by Those Thrilling Days of Yesteryear. The show will held at the Oak Park Arms in Oak Park on Sunday, December 18 at 2:00pm.

The beloved movie was released in 1946, but twice during the following year, Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed again played George and Mary for radio audiences.

The voice actors from Those Thrilling Days of Yesteryear will recreate one of those radio performances complete with music, sound effects and commercial breaks just as if you were a member of 1947's studio audience.

The TTDY troupe has been performing at Oak Park Arms for a decade and in honor of this ten year anniversary, they are giving a show every month this season, each one dedicated to raising funds for a different local not-for-profit. December's show will benefit the Life Long Learning Center.

"It's a Wonderful Life" is free and open to the public. For more information about the show or the Oak Park Arms, contact Jill Wagner at 708-386-4040.
